Be Your Own Farmer
What better way to understand where fruits and vegetables come from than to plant your own garden! Children can learn about seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as how to take care of a garden. We all know spring is a great time to start a garden, and you can tend to it through the fall. Strawberries and raspberries are a big hit and relatively easy to grow. Easy summer vegetables are tomatoes, cucumbers, peas and zucchini. Your child will love to watch the seedlings progress from a patch in the ground to a green sprout.
