What better way to understand where fruits and vegetables come from – plant your own garden! Children can learn about seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as how to take care of a garden. We all know spring is a great time to start a garden, and you can tend to it through the fall. Strawberries and raspberries are a big hit and relatively easy to grow. Easy summer vegetables are tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, or zucchini. Your child will love to watch the seedlings progress from a patch in the ground to a green sprout.
