The entries are in. The votes are tallied. The wait is over. Congratulations to the $10,000 winner of the 2010 Fruitables Best School Music Mash-Up in America!
The West Middle School Choirs would like to take part in a composer in residence program. Rigor and relevance are realized when our young adults are motivated. Working together with a composer would take learning and performance to an entirely new level. To understand the creative process as a middle school student is invaluable. With a prominent composer helping us to create and perform, “Fruitables” could help our students take part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that could be experienced by not only our community, but also anyone else who heard or performed this work in the future.
The Best School Music Mash-up in America is a part of Fruitables Seeding the Arts™, Fruitables’ larger mission to support underfunded music and arts programs in schools across America.
Fruitables has also committed its support to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation with a $25,000 donation. Become a Fan of Apple & Eve on Facebook® by August 31, 2010 and we’ll donate an additional $1 for each new Fan up to a maximum donation of $5,000.
