Resistance Training

Resistance training helps to increase strength, balance stamina and bone density – increasing bone density when you are young is crucial in helping to stave off osteoporosis and possible bone fractures as children get older. Resistance training needs to be part of all exercise programs, including those for children. I recommend resistance training exercises that use the body’s own weight as the resistance.


Aerobic Exercise

This part of the workout exercises the heart. The benefits of cardiac exercise are well known: it helps with heart health and blood pressure, increases the “good” cholesterol and helps to maintain a healthy body weight.
