Current Positions Available:
COST ACCOUNTANT
The Cost Accountant will establish standard costs for all components and finished goods. S/he will analyze and monitor material, outside services and freight variances against these standard costs. The Cost Accountant reports to the Controller, and works closely with the Purchasing and Operations Departments.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and update history of standard costs
- Analyze the elements of cost of sales to determine:
- Appropriateness of standard costs
- Causes of changes in margin %
- Reconcile the monthly inventory reporting system to the general ledger and make appropriate adjustments be able to clearly explain and differences
- Review all production invoices and audit prices for current month
- Prepare cost estimates on possible new items
- Review and update new Formulas
- Ability to work with management to develop pricing based on cost components and required profitability
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine effects on costs.
- Cost / margin trends of products
- Ability to quickly identify errors from incorrect pricing or costs
- Opportunities for margin improvement
- Assist in monthly and yearend financial closing process
The requirements for this role will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – REQUIRED
- Four to seven years of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is required
- Experience with MAPICS and AS400 is a PLUS
- Strong Problem Solving / Decision Making skills required, must be highly analytical
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook skills
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently
- The ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities
- The ability to interact with all levels of our organization, including senior executives, Operations and Purchasing teams

NEW PRODUCTS COORDINATOR
Apple & Eve, a major consumer juice manufacturer located in Port Washington, NY, is seeking an experienced New Products Coordinator. This position will coordinate all aspects of new product launches from initial concept to execution. Essential duties include conducting weekly meetings, publish New Products Status Report & Timelines and track all tasks required to produce a new product on time. This position will report to the VP of Operations. Related experience in a similar industry is desired. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office is required.
